GROUP SHOW

SIVELTIMEN VOIMA

8 October 2022 – 8 January 2023

Näyttely esittelee suomalaista ekspressiivistä maalaustaidetta kultakaudelta nykytaiteeseen.

1900-luvun alusta lähtien Euroopassa vaikuttaneet ekspressionistit ilmaisivat taiteessaan subjektiivisia emootioita ja sisäisiä kokemuksia. Maalauksissa rajut muodot ja vahvat värit yhdistyivät voimakkaisiin siveltimenvetoihin.

Näyttelyssä edetään kultakauden ekspressiivisistä, patrioottisista maisemista ja Akseli Gallen-Kallelan Afrikan-kaudesta 1910–1920-lukujen marraskuulaisten taiteeseen, Helene Schjerfbeckin sisäisiä maailmoja luotaavaan modernismiin, Ellen Thesleffin uraauurtavaan ekspressionismiin, 1960-luvun informalismiin, 1980-luvun uusekspressionismiin sekä nykytaiteen ekspressiiviseen maalaukseen.

POVER OF THE BRUSH

The Tampere Art Museum autumn exhibition Power of the Brush presents Finnish expressionism and free pictorial art from the Golden Age to contemporary art. Expressionists who were influential in Europe from the beginning of the 20th century expressed subjective emotions and inner experiences in their art. The artists in the exhibition share the characteristics of an expressive style of painting and use of the brush free of rules.

SOLO EXHIBITION

THE ARTIFACT AND LIVING

From June 10th, 2020

The summer exhibition at Punkaharju Hotel features paintings by the visual artist Sirpa Särkijärvi over several years, making it possible to observe the development of her painting expression over the previous 10 years and the ‘Canvas’ series, which was an interdisciplinary collaboration project between fashion designer Henrica Langh and Sirpa. Henrica Langh created a collection of dresses that Sirpa Särkijärvi finished with her own charged painting expression.
